COVID-19 POLICY

Due to the unprecedented impact of the Coronavirus pandemic, we will be making updates to this page when necessary. Additionally, in response to the unpredictable nature of the pandemic, the information below will now be apart of our Terms and Conditions to adapt to the constantly evolving nature of this pandemic. As we begin to kick off our 2022 trips, our team has made some some operational changes until further notice, including the following:

 

  • Increased sanitation standards for partner hotels

  • Requirements around mask use on trips

  • Protocol and training for trip leaders specific to COVID-19

  • Health-related itinerary adjustments (Any change we make will be at or above the standard of our current itinerary and will be communicated to you in advance.)

  • Requiring all attending guest’s to be fully vaccinated or provide necessary medical documentation.


We will be sending out more information as trip dates get closer. While we strive to take care of you, it is impossible to completely eliminate the risk of exposure while traveling. For this reason, by attending a trip with us, you are acknowledging this risk and are aware that Dreamy Trips Bali highly encourages you to obtain travel/medical insurance. You will be responsible for these fees including COVID-19 testing before and after the trip begins and ends.

In regards to trip cancellations, refunds are only made if we cancel the trip as a whole, which is rarely done as our team will try our best to find dates that do work. If we cannot travel to a specific destination during our said dates, we will postpone or alternatively, offer you travel credit to attend a future trip. If a guest’s trip cannot be rescheduled, and is still 60 day’s prior to its departure date, DTB will be able to offer you a full refund minus the deposit and transaction fees. Guest’s will have the opportunity to transfer the deposit onto another upcoming tour.

Although we take great care in putting together our itineraries and hiring trip leaders to show you an amazing time, we are an intermediary. Meaning, we do not own hotels, drive vans, or teach other class/activities that we pay through our local partners. We have to pay deposits on your behalf to make sure there is availability on the day to go. We work very hard to find the most unique, best value options and we work directly with suppliers to make sure the qu
ality stays consistently high. Doing this allows us to make sure your tourism dollars are always going to support the local community, which we care deeply about. 

The result in doing business like this is that in some cases we have to pay deposits in advance to lock in dates needed for our groups. Normally, this isn’t a problem. However, during a pandemic, when borders are closed and we cannot operate trips, it has complicated things by limiting our ability to issue refunds since that money has been distributed on your behalf. 

 

For this reason, if your trip cannot run as planned, you will be put in a new travel group with new dates or be offered travel credit for a future trip. It is a great help to us and the small suppliers who make your travel memories possible and we promise to reward your patience with the most amazing trip ever when you’re ready to travel again. By signing up for a trip, you acknowledge the terms and conditions, which highlights that refunds are only possible if we are still 60 days from the trip departure date or DTB cancels the trip entirely, meaning we choose not to provide new dates to postpone. By signing up for a trip with us you acknowledge this as our terms are available to read on our website. 

One final note: travel is going to come roaring back. The desire for new experiences and connecting with new people is an immutable human trait and even a global pandemic can’t suppress that need. There may have never been a time when we needed these things more. So don’t despair - your next adventure might be a bit farther out than you planned, but it’s coming. And we promise it’s going to be worth the wait.

COVID 19 POLICY SUMMARY

If we have to cancel or postpone your trip as a result of the travel warnings, we will notify you at least 60 days in advance and give you the option to either:

  • Transfer your deposit/any non-deposit payments made to a future group trip or private trip hosted by DTB

  • Cancel your trip completely and receive a full refund on any non-deposit payments already made.

Q: I’M PLANNING ON PLACING A DEPOSIT, SHOULD I BE WORRIED GIVEN THE CURRENT SITUATION WITH CORONA VIRUS?

A: We completely understand that it is an uncertain time for most, the situation is changing daily and we are monitoring trusted sources such as the WHO and CDC to make decisions accordingly. We do provide guests with free and flexible trip transfers and we also ensure that all of the money paid towards your trip is protected, we also provide a variety of refund and transfer options if your trip is cancelled by us due to COVID-19 travel restrictions.

Please note, due to the involved logistics & upfront costs of each trip, we do have to uphold our no refund and no cancellation policy regardless of circumstance if we are (60 days or less) leading up to the trip departure date. This is why we highly encourage purchasing travel insurance to attend our trips.

If a guest’s trip cannot be rescheduled, and is still 60 day’s prior to its departure date, DTB will be able to offer you a full refund minus the deposit and transaction fees. Guest’s will have the opportunity to transfer the deposit onto another upcoming tour.

We highly encourage all our travelers to purchase full comprehensive travel insurance to cover any possible airline or other trip related fees that could occur due to cancellations by those companies. Safety Wing is our recommended insurance provider as they are affordable and offer a solid COVID19 policy.

Q: DUE TO COVID-RELATED TRAVEL RESTRICTIONS, I WOULD LOVE TO TRANSFER TO ANOTHER TRIP AT A LATER DATE, WHAT DO I NEED TO DO?

 

A: Our team will work with our guest hosts, vendors, and any third parties to reschedule your upcoming trip. Once the new trip dates are announced via email, please let us know if the new dates are suitable for you and that you are interested in attending.

If interested in changing to a different group trip, please reach out to our team via emailing us at hello@dreamytripsbali.com to be aware of all upcoming trips. There are many that are launched that are not posted on our website. We would be more than happy to assist and transfer you to a preferred trip of your choice. This is valid up to 30 days prior to your trip.

Q: DO I NEED TO BE VACCINATED?

 

A: Depending on your destinations current COVID restrictions, certain countries will require guests to be fully vaccinated. For this, we require all guests to be fully vaccinated for all trips. If vaccination is not possible, we require guests to inform DTB when placing deposits, as well as be responsible for all necessary medical documentation and required testing for that specific destination.

Q: IS MY DEPOSIT REFUNDABLE?

A: We require an upfront deposit to secure your spot and confirm our tours/accommodations in advance, so this is non-refundable upon payment.

Q: IS THE TRIP CONFIRMED TO HAPPEN? SHOULD I BOOK MY FLIGHT ASAP?

A: All Dreamy Trips tours are confirmed once a minimum of 8 girls have signed up for the trip. For recently launched tours, we recommend placing deposits ASAP to secure a spot. Once a trip is confirmed, our team will send a personalized link to the trip portal. Here you will find all trip details, payment tasks, and anything else we may need from you. Once you have access to your trip portal, we then recommend booking your flight.

For tours hosts by influencers, if a minimum of 8 guests are not secured, the group will continue on and have Nanki (Dreamy Trips Founder) lead as the host.

Q: DO YOU OFFER PAYMENT PLANS?

A: We definitely do! If you are unable to pay the full amount upfront, we offer a 3-month payment plan consisting of a deposit and three equal payments prior to the trip. Please feel free to reach out to us if interested in initiating a payment plan.

Q: ARE MY FLIGHTS AND VISA INCLUDED?

A: As we have guests arriving from different parts of the world, it’s impossible for us to calculate flight and visa fees therefore this is not included. Our group trips generally kick off from our first hotel although we often organise complimentary private transfers from the airport to your first hotel, depending on your arrival time.

Q: WHY ARE THERE TRANSACTION FEES?

A: As Dreamy Trips uses Stripe for all payments, we have to endear to their transaction policy. As these fee’s can be rather high for our clients, we also offer the opportunity to pay via Zelle or Wise (which provides a much lower transaction fee).

Q:  DO YOU ACCEPT CANCELLATIONS OR OFFER FULL REFUNDS IN ANY EVENT?

A: If cancellation is due to a COVID-19 related circumstance, please see COVID-19 section above.

Our team is happy to reschedule or provide a full refund (excluding initial deposit and transaction fees) if our team is notified a two months (60 days) in advance from trip departure date.

Unfortunately due to the involved logistics & upfront costs of each trip, we have a strict no refund and no cancellation policy regardless of circumstance two months (60 days) up to the trip departure date. This is why we require purchasing travel insurance to attend our trips.

Again, this is the reason we require guests to purchase travel insurance and to be sure you can make it before you book. From illness to natural disaster to relationship problems, guests may need to change plans for many reasons, and better to be safe and prepared for the unforeseen.

Q: WILL I HAVE FREE TIME TO EXPLORE THINGS ON MY OWN?

A: Absolutely! There will be free time built into the itinerary so that you can do any unlisted activities you’re interested in. We highly recommend doing research in advance so you know exactly what to do on the spot!

Q: WHO ARE YOUR TOURS OPEN TO?

A: Our tours are roughly all-female getaways for adventurous women, aged 20-45, who want to spoil themselves with luxury, immerse themselves in the local culture, and indulge in delicious foods. We often have women outside of this age bracket as well.

Note: We do have mixed-gender tours as well! Keep an eye out for those!

Q: I’VE NEVER TRAVELLED BEFORE, IS THIS A GOOD TRIP FOR ME?

A: This is probably one of your best options for a solo trip, as Dreamy Trips really encourages first time female travellers to take the first step, be independent, and get out of your comfort zone. Our team is here to support you as you dive into this insane bucket list experience, make special friendships, and get entirely spoilt throughout your week away.

Q: CAN I JUST DO PART OF THE TOUR?

A: If you have other responsibilities, we are completely flexible with having you attend only a portion of the tour. Guests always have the choice to attend or not attend all listed activities and experience. As we need to ensure all tour costs are covered we will not be able to offer a pro-rated price for the portion of the trip you attend. If you have any concerns, feel free to reach out to our team. We’ll always help assist to the best of our ability.

Q: HOW MANY SPOTS ARE AVAILABLE?

A: Each tour will have a minimum of 8 girls, in certain circumstances, we will be able to increase the group size to 16 spots.

Q: ARE THERE SINGLE OCCUPANCY ROOMS?

A: Yes, there will be a limited number of single-occupancy rooms available with can be secured for an additional payment, usually around $400-500 USD. Please let us know if you’re interested in this option.

Q: HOW WILL DOUBLE OCCUPANCY WORK? WILL THERE BE SEPARATE BEDS IN A SHARED ROOM?

A: We’ll be staying at different properties with unique accommodations, but we aim to always have each double occupancy room to have separate beds (but this cannot always be guaranteed) If interested in travelling in a group of 3, we will be happy to arrange triple occupancy rooms.

Q: I HAVE DIETARY RESTRICTIONS, WHAT TYPE OF FOOD WILL BE AVAILABLE?

A: Our team strives to cater to dietary requirements to the best of our ability. When securing your seat, please let us know about any accommodation requests regarding vegan/veg, gluten-free or dairy-free diets as well as any food allergies. We want to make sure you are as comfortable as possible.

Q:  ARE THERE ANY OTHER ADD-ON ACTIVITIES WE CAN PURCHASE?

A: Yes! We’ve curated a highly-requested list of activities/tours which we are happy to schedule for you (and any of the other guests) to do during your free time.

Q: WILL I NEED TO HAVE TRAVEL INSURANCE?

A: Yes, you are highly encouraged to have both travel and medical insurance to travel on on our trips. A lot of travelers are covered by insurance from their travel credit cards, or insurance policies back home, so if that’s the case, awesome! If you don’t have coverage, we will give recommendations.
